A family affair – Milan-based manufacturer Brusi values solidarity

Tradition is of great importance in the jewelry industry. At Brusi, a third-generation family business, the term stands not only for accumulated expertise, but also for personal ties to the craft and employees.

The three grandsons of the founder remember visiting their grandfather’s workshop and eavesdropping on technical discussions there, as well as visiting their mother in the family jewelry store. Because the siblings initially pursued very different paths—in architecture, economics, and linguistics—they complemented each other well in managing the Brusi company, which has long since gained international significance.

Brusi: Gemstones as inspiration

They also agree on using new technology if it helps the company to grow. However, they are certain that the essence of the jewelry will always remain human, and they are proud that many of the craftsmen stay with Bruni for many years to design the company’s products together.

The team has changed its approach over the years. It no longer starts with a fully developed idea; instead, the jewelry is created based on inspiration from the individual gemstones and designed around them. This also applies to the “Shakes” collection, which Brusi is presenting at Inhorgenta.
