Alexander Shorokhoff and the Art of Time

Since 1992, under the leadership of company founder, CEO, and designer Alexander Shorokhov, the family-run manufactory has established itself worldwide as a luxury watch brand, starting from the picturesque town of Alzenau in Bavaria. In doing so, it has carved out and occupied its own artistic niche in the watch market.

Alexander Shorokhoff showcases his characteristic colorful creativity and new „Art on the Wrist“ models at the Inhorgenta 2026 launch.

Alexander Shorokhoff: Kandy Fantasy – Creativity that breaks the mold

„Those who set limits for themselves will never have the courage to be imaginative!“ With these words, Alexander Shorokhov describes himself to some extent – and this philosophy is reflected in the new „Kandy Fantasy“ model, limited to 30 pieces.

The „Kandy Fantasy“ combines artistic details, vibrant color accents, and the hand-finished mechanics of a manufacture that never ceases to innovate. Every element tells its own story: the geometrically inspired dial, the black and white pattern in the center with mother-of-pearl inlay, and the colorful mother-of-pearl insert at 6 o'clock that artfully displays the date.

Even the slightly misplaced hour markers clearly show: On this clock face, the imagination of an artist knows no bounds – namely that of Alexander Shorokhov himself.

The elongated hands with round cutouts in black, yellow and red ensure comfortable readability of the time.

The 41-millimeter stainless steel case of the "Kandy Fantasy" also sets it apart, featuring side cutouts and four round glass pieces in red, yellow, and blue on the case back. The same applies to the fabric-covered leather strap with a checkered pattern.

Alexander Shorokhoff: Carry – a cat like no other in the world

Following the success of the "Black Cat," the brand presents a worthy and highly emotional successor at Inhorgenta: the "Carry" model, limited to 50 pieces, doesn't originate from a desk-bound idea, but from a true story. A story unlike any other. The watch is dedicated to Carry, the black cat who accompanied Alexander Shorokhoff's daughter Inga for 20 years of her life – and has now been immortalized in the form of an artful automatic timepiece.

The dial is designed in two layers: deep black at the bottom, and a skeletonized relief pattern with color accents at the top. A delicate butterfly appears to have just landed, lending the composition a poetic lightness.

The center of the lower dial features an elegant guilloché pattern surrounded by a circular striped structure. The minute track on the outer edge facilitates precise time reading.

Two small diamonds set in the cat's eyes provide the magical spark. The polished black stingray leather strap complements the avant-garde material aesthetic and adds another striking accent.

Alexander Shorokhoff: Karandash – Avant-garde for the wrist

The social and artistic avant-garde movement, born from the art and literature of the early 20th century, stands for renewal, a break with conventions, and the courage to experiment. With the "Karandash" hand-wound watch, limited to 50 pieces, Alexander Shorokhoff brings this avant-garde directly to the wrist.

The elongated yellow hands with red tips and round cutouts almost steal the show from all other elements. They play the leading role on the dial while harmonizing perfectly with every other detail. The green subdial at 9 o'clock transforms into a colorful instrument for the off-center seconds, while the blue counterpart at 6 o'clock, with its openwork design, displays the date.

The yellow ring with minute markers and the recessed dial emphasize the dynamic design, while the black outer ring provides space for the names of the defining artists of the avant-garde movement.

The hour markers with orange accents and the distinctive "60" are in the same color as the 43.5 millimeter stainless steel case.

The refined hand-wound movement 3105.AS can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back. This reveals hand engravings, rose gold plating, hand-polished and blued screws, and cloud-cut wheels.

The „Karandash“ is worn on a black calfskin strap with green stitching, which picks up the color of the totalizer at 9 o'clock.

Alexander Shorokhoff: Frozy – new case with a cool design

Another example of the brand's innovative creativity is the "Frozy" model, limited to 60 pieces. The name is a neologism that is reflected in the entire design. The central innovation lies in the completely redesigned 40-millimeter stainless steel case. It features a stepped design with multiple bezels.

The special surface treatment is reminiscent of sparkling diamond dust. The glitter effect is created by a special blasting process, which is then refined through meticulous handwork.

This effect, however, represents only one aspect of the surface treatment. Future models will allow for the individual bezels to be finished with different platings, thereby creating entirely different looks for the case. The crown itself also follows the design language of the case, featuring a stepped, harmoniously coordinated design.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals the automatic movement (ETA 2892 or SW300) with hand-engraved and finished rotor.

The exceptional design continues with the dial made of shimmering blue amber stone. White hour and minute hands provide clear accents, while the second hand in a vibrant fuchsia hue adds a lively splash of color. The color coordination with the leather strap ensures a harmonious overall look.
