Winning the INHORGENTA AWARD with Patria – Tutima Glashütte sets an example
The Patria by Tutima Glashütte has been named “Mechanical Watch of the Year” and received the INHORGENTA Award 2026. In the “Mechanical Watch of the Year” category, it impressed an international jury of experts with its combination of clear design, innovative materials, and classic Glashütte precision watchmaking. The award was presented at a gala event at Bavaria Film Studios and is one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.

For Tutima, the award is more than just a snapshot in time:
“The Patria embodies in a special way what has shaped the brand throughout its eventful history: the interplay of tradition and innovation. In fact, the watch is a prime example of this claim,” emphasizes Matthias Stotz, Managing Director of Tutima.

History meets high tech
The Patria combines classic three-hand architecture with modern materials. The case, made of highly polished Grade 5 titanium, ensures both lightness and durability. The clear, two-part construction does away with a separate back; sapphire crystal on the front and back protects the watch while also revealing the Manufacture Caliber 617.
With a diameter of 41 millimeters and a height of 11.2 millimeters, the Patria remains striking without appearing bulky. Beneath a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the graphite-gray dial—now complemented by a new light blue version—features a three-dimensional pyramid structure. The interplay of light and shadow lends depth, while applied indices, diamond-cut details, and hand-finished hands underscore the classic look. The small seconds dial is finely turned, and the historic logo recalls the brand’s beginnings almost a century ago.

The Caliber 617 – Craftsmanship in Detail
Inside, the in-house Tutima 617 hand-wound movement, made from 171 individual parts in the Glashütte workshop, is at work. The typical three-quarter plate with striped finish, hand-angled bevels, and screw-mounted gold chatons characterizes the image through the glass back. A balance wheel without a staff with a curved Breguet balance spring and a screw balance represent classic Glashütte construction. When fully wound, the movement offers a power reserve of at least 65 hours – energy that is deliberately obtained by hand winding.

Light blue
By winning the INHORGENTA AWARD 2026 for the Patria, Tutima Glashütte is making a strong statement at the trade fair and underlining the award with a new light blue dial variant that lends the line additional lightness and modern freshness.

The new light blue dial variant lends the Patria an additional sense of lightness. The iridescent tone is reminiscent of a clear sky and enhances the depth effect of the pyramid-shaped structure. A sheepskin strap in light graphite gray complements the modern design, while a titanium pin buckle and curved lugs ensure a high level of wearing comfort.
