Inhorgenta highlight: Pointtec showcases new Bauhaus products

Since the early 1990s, the family-owned company Pointtec, based in Ismaning near Munich, has had its watches produced at the successor company to “Uhrenwerke Ruhla” in Thuringia, which the company took over in 2019. This is also where the new products for its own brand, bauhaus, are manufactured.

With this acquisition, Pointtec not only secured the traditional production site, but also the listed Bauhaus-style building (pictured left), which was built in 1929, and the Ruhla Clock Museum located within it—while also preserving all jobs in production.

The watch brand bauhaus was founded on the occasion of this takeover and launched its first models in 2020. The timepieces are stylistically inspired by the famous Bauhaus design school in Dessau and, in addition to the well-known minimalism of “form follows function,” also reflect the colorful phase of the Bauhaus.

The portfolio has recently been expanded to include sportier models, which are marketed under the “bauhaus aviation” line.

Pointtec: New Bauhaus models for 2026

Pointtec has announced several new products for 2026. The fifth generation of the “Eurofighter” series will go on sale after being unveiled at Inhorgenta last year. The “bauhaus aviation” line will be expanded with new models from the existing “G38” series, which is dedicated to the early years of aviation.

In the classic Bauhaus segment, a new, purist-designed line called “Pure” is also expanding the collection. It offers a wide selection of different movements.

The new products are rounded off by a timepiece dedicated to “bauhaus aviation” brand ambassador Lukas Wörle. The high-altitude mountaineer and paraglider pilot is well known in the alpinist scene – particularly for his spectacular rescue mission on Broad Peak in 2023.

“Now we have developed a watch that is specially tailored to Lukas’ extreme adventures,” explains Pointtec.

bauhaus aviation Eurofighter Typhoon

The Eurofighter Typhoon is one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. Developed for air superiority, it combines extreme agility with state-of-the-art technology. Its aerodynamic instability enables maximum maneuverability, supported by computer control, canards, and delta wings. The Eurojet turbines generate up to 20 tons of thrust and enable supersonic flight without afterburners.

In Germany, Eurofighter alert squadrons secure the airspace and are ready for action within minutes. Pilots often complete their training in the USA, where optimal training conditions prevail.

The new fifth-generation Eurofighter watches reflect the technology and aesthetics of this extraordinary aircraft. They feature a polished stainless steel case with a coin-edge bezel, a retro pilot’s crown, and large, framed hands generously coated with Super-LumiNova for excellent readability. The start-stop push button on the chronographs is red.

There are three options to choose from:

  • Automatic chronograph: 42 mm stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, Sellita automatic movement SW510Ha, black or blue dial – RRP €1,999
  • Automatic model: 40-millimeter stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, Sellita automatic movement SW200, dial in olive or green – RRP $649
  • Quartz chronograph: 41 mm stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, Miyota quartz movement 6S21, dial in black, blue dégradé, green dégradé, or red dégradé – RRP €349

bauhaus aviation G38

What the Airbus A380 is to civil aviation today, the G38, built in Dessau in the 1930s, was to civil aviation back then: the largest four-engine passenger aircraft of its time. Due to its double-decker cabin, it was respectfully nicknamed the “flying hotel.”

German engineering, the pursuit of technical perfection, and the determination to overcome limitations made the construction of this aircraft possible.

The “G38” watch series continues this tradition. With Arabic numerals, colorful accents, and a clear pilot’s watch aesthetic, it stands for striking design and excellent readability. Dials with tachymeter or pulsometer scales emphasize the technical character of the models.

Four variants are available:

  • bauhaus aviation G38 GMT: 42 mm stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, Ronda quartz movement 505.24.H – RRP $329
  • bauhaus aviation G38 Day Date: 42-millimeter stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, Ronda quartz movement 517 – RRP $299
  • bauhaus aviation G38 Chronograph: 42-millimeter stainless steel case in PVD champagne gold, Miyota quartz movement 6S20 – RRP €329
  • bauhaus aviation G38 Dual Time: 42-millimeter stainless steel case in PVD champagne gold, Ronda quartz movement 6203.B – RRP €299

bauhaus Pure

bauhaus aviation Alpinist “Lukas Wörle”

Taking off from the summit of an eight-thousander with a paraglider—Lukas Wörle has been working toward this dream for years. The extreme athlete combines high-altitude mountaineering, paragliding, and ultra-trail running to create extraordinary projects.

His endeavors range from 100-kilometer ultratrail races in the Alps to expeditions in the Rocky Mountains to high-altitude mountaineering in the Himalayas.

Wörle attracted particular attention in 2023 during his ascent of Broad Peak. Above 8,000 meters, he encountered a seriously injured high-altitude porter who had been left behind by another expedition. Despite the extreme conditions, he decided to attempt a rescue and dragged the immobile man toward the valley for hours until a helicopter was finally able to complete the rescue.

The watch dedicated to him was developed in close collaboration with the mountaineer. The model features a robust stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown positioned at 4 o’clock to ensure maximum freedom of movement. The hands and dial are designed for optimal readability in all conditions.

Inside, it is powered by a Sellita SW200 automatic movement. The model is water-resistant to 20 bar and available with a black or blue dial – RRP €649.
