Inhorgenta 2026: Top-class craftsmanship
From February 20 to 23, 2026, Inhorgenta at the Munich Exhibition Center will showcase what the industry is all about: skill, precision, and passion.
Whether at exhibitors’ stands, in carefully curated special areas, in practical workshops, or in intensive exchanges with technical colleges and manufacturers—craftsmanship will not only be on display at Inhorgenta 2026, but also brought to life.

“Craftsmanship is at the heart of our industry—and it’s much more than just a trend. Inhorgenta 2026 will showcase how relevant, modern, and inspiring craftsmanship is today: as the basis for training, as an expression of excellence in manufacturing, and as a decisive factor for success in the market. Our aim is to make craftsmanship visible, share knowledge, and connect people,” says Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director of Inhorgenta.
MasterCrafts – Live: Top European craftsmanship at the workbench
With “MasterCrafts” Live in Hall B2.213, Inhorgenta presents a curated special area for international top craftsmanship. Renowned master craftsmen, trainers, and manufacturers from different countries will demonstrate engraving, setting, and goldsmithing techniques as well as modern manufacturing processes using high-quality tools live at workbenches. Visitors can look forward to seeing the following international master craftsmen, among others:
- Pablo Cimadevilla is an internationally recognized goldsmith and craftsman who combines classic goldsmithing techniques with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
- Andrew Ashcroft is one of Europe’s leading hand engravers. His work is characterized by the highest precision, the finest lines, and surface structures inspired by nature.
- Nadja Kienast stands for excellence in gemstone setting. In addition to her craftsmanship, she is actively involved in prototype development and training the next generation of craftsmen.
- Aleksey Saburov is an internationally renowned gemstone setter and jewelry artist who combines the highest precision with innovative setting methods, redefining the boundaries of traditional gemstone setting.
- Francisco Le Marchant presents modern craftsmanship using technically sophisticated precious metals, combining traditional methods with contemporary manufacturing processes.

Craftsmanship Area – Focus on excellence in craftsmanship
The main theme of Inhorgenta 2026 will also be particularly evident in the “Craftsmanship Area.” In Hall B2.446, selected artisans and manufacturers will demonstrate their techniques live at their workbenches—from engraving and goldsmithing to traditional and contemporary manufacturing methods. Three examples:
- Pauly Carvings demonstrates how the finest hand engraving using traditional techniques is combined with state-of-the-art machine processing.
- Inês Barbosa provides insights into the artful craft of filigree work and demonstrates how delicate metal structures are created in a series of complex steps.
- Materia Prima combines classic goldsmithing with porcelain and illustrates how material innovation and manual production work together.
Live demonstrations by exhibitors – craftsmanship at the exhibition stand
In addition, visitors can experience craftsmanship firsthand at the stands of numerous exhibitors. Whether it’s gemstone setting, chain production, ring manufacturing, clockwork assembly, or high-tech applications such as 3D printing as a complement to handcrafting, visitors can follow the creation process of many products live and talk to the makers. Four examples:
- Tutima Glashütte demonstrates the assembly and fine-tuning of mechanical movements live and provides insights into traditional Glashütte watchmaking. (Hall A1)
- Niessing stages the “Live Installation of Golden Tools” and demonstrates how tools, materials, and craftsmanship interact. (Hall B1)
- Glendo invites visitors to daily live workshops at the GRS Tools booth. Stone setting and engraving workshops will be presented by internationally renowned craftsmen and leading jewelry schools. (Hall C2)
- Lampert Werktechnik will be demonstrating live contactless micro TIG welding for precise, clean joints without discoloration or material damage. Visitors will see how the most delicate jewelry work is achieved with micrometer precision. (Hall C2)

Focus on young talent and training at Inhorgenta 2026
Training future generations is also part of the focus on craftsmanship. Various educational institutions and initiatives will be presenting themselves at Inhorgenta 2026:
- The watchmaker’s mobile in Hall C2 of the Central Association for Watches, Jewelry, and Timekeeping Technology vividly conveys the basics of watchmaking and brings training content to life in a practical way.
- The Watchmaking School Campus in Hall B2 is jointly organized by the Watchmaking School in Furtwangen, the Watchmaking School in Hamburg, and the Goldsmithing and Watchmaking School in Pforzheim. Here, visitors can gain insights into training courses, teaching content, and craft techniques—from movement assembly to fine finishing.
Workshops at the FHH Cultural Space – Hands-on watchmaking
The craftsmanship offering is complemented by watchmaking workshops in the “FHH Cultural Space” in Hall A1. In guided sessions, visitors experience the basic steps of watchmaking—from disassembling to reassembling a movement. The courses provide an in-depth understanding of mechanics, precision, and craftsmanship, making the art of watchmaking accessible even to non-specialists.
The complete Craftsmanship program—including all special areas, workshops, and live demonstrations—is accessible to visitors free of charge. Further details and a complete overview can be found in the Craftsmanship Guide, which will be available on site and online shortly.
