G-Shock launches special edition for International Women's Day
To mark International Women's Day on March 8, G-Shock presents the new "GMA-P2126W-8A", a special model that incorporates the distinctive octagonal design of the "2100" series and combines it with elegant details.
Based on the compact "GMA-P2110" with its metallic-accented bezel, the new model is a lightweight G-Shock weighing just 41 grams and water-resistant to 20 bar. It features a powerful, consistent color scheme of dark gray with gold accents. The bezel and strap are made from bio-based resin derived from renewable organic resources. (RRP: €129)
A portion of the sales proceeds in Japan goes to the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP). The organization advocates for a world in which all women can live healthy lives and make self-determined decisions about their lives.

G-Shock campaign featuring artist Ran Tondabayashi
The face of the campaign for the „GMA-P2126W-8A“ is the artist Ran Tondabayashi. In her work, she combines techniques such as collage, illustration, painting, three-dimensional works, and video. By combining everyday motifs, she creates visually striking works known for their distinctive contrast between bizarre and charming elements.
Besides designing CD covers and directing music videos, she also works on advertising graphics, interior design concepts, and collaborations with fashion brands. She received her stage name from Ikeda Takafumi, a well-known Japanese musician who also performs under the name Rekishi.
International Women's Day
International Women's Day on March 8th was officially recognized by the United Nations in 1975. It stands worldwide for women's rights, equality, and the recognition of women's achievements in society, politics, business, and culture.
