Inhorgenta 2026: Top-class craftsmanship

From February 20th to 23rd, 2026, Inhorgenta at the Munich trade fair grounds will showcase what the industry is all about at its core: skill, precision and passion.

Whether at the exhibitors' stands, in carefully curated special areas, in practical workshops or in intensive exchange with technical schools and manufacturers – craftsmanship is not only shown at Inhorgenta 2026, but lived.

MasterCrafts – Live: Top European craftsmanship at the workbench

With "MasterCrafts" Live in Hall B2.213, Inhorgenta presents a curated special area showcasing top international craftsmanship. Renowned master craftspeople, instructors, and manufacturers from various countries will demonstrate engraving, setting, and goldsmithing techniques, as well as modern manufacturing processes using high-quality tools, live at workbenches. Visitors can look forward to seeing, among others, the following international master craftspeople:

  • Pablo Cimadevilla is an internationally recognized goldsmith and craftsman who combines classic goldsmithing techniques with a clear, contemporary aesthetic.
  • Andrew Ashcroft He is one of Europe's leading hand engravers. His work is characterized by the highest precision, the finest lines, and surface textures inspired by nature.
  • Nadja Kienast She represents excellent expertise in gemstone setting. In addition to her craftsmanship, she is active in prototype development and the training of young craftspeople.
  • Aleksey Saburov is an internationally recognized gem setter and jewelry artist who combines the highest precision with innovative setting methods, redefining the boundaries of traditional gem setting.
  • Francisco Le Marchant presents modern manufacturing work with technically sophisticated precious metals and combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary manufacturing processes.

Craftsmanship Area – Focus on artisanal excellence

The central theme of Inhorgenta 2026 will be particularly evident in the "Craftsmanship Area." In Hall B2.446, selected artisans and manufacturers will demonstrate their techniques live at their workbenches – from engraving and goldsmithing to traditional and contemporary production methods. Here are three examples:

  • Pauly Carvings shows how the finest hand engraving in traditional technique is combined with state-of-the-art machine processing.
  • Inês Barbosa It provides insights into the intricate filigree work and shows how fine metal structures are created in elaborate work steps.
  • Materia Prima combines classic goldsmithing techniques with porcelain and illustrates how material innovation and manual production work together.

Live demonstrations at exhibitors' booths – craftsmanship at the trade fair stand

Furthermore, craftsmanship can be experienced firsthand at the stands of numerous exhibitors. Whether it's gemstone setting, necklace making, ring making, watch movement assembly, or high-tech applications like 3D printing as a complement to handcraft: visitors can follow the creation process of many products live and talk to the makers. Four examples:

  • Tutima Glassworks It showcases the live assembly and finishing of mechanical watch movements and provides insights into traditional Glashütte watchmaking. (Hall A1)
  • Niessing The „Live Installation of Golden Tools“ is staged, making visible how tools, materials, and craftsmanship interact. (Hall B1)
  • Glendo GRS Tools invites visitors to daily live workshops at its booth. Stone-setting and engraving workshops will be presented by internationally renowned craftspeople and leading jewelry schools. (Hall C2)
  • Lampert Werktechnik Live demonstrations of non-contact micro-TIG welding for precise, clean joints without discoloration or material damage. Visitors can witness how the most delicate jewelry pieces are created with micrometer precision. (Hall C2)

Young talent and training are the focus of Inhorgenta 2026

The training of future generations is also part of the Craftsmanship focus. Various educational institutions and initiatives will be presenting themselves at Inhorgenta 2026:

  • The Watchmaker's Mobile In Hall C2 of the Central Association for Watches, Jewelry and Time Measurement Technology, the basics of watchmaking are clearly conveyed and training content is made tangible in a practical way.
  • The watchmaking school campus in Hall B2 is jointly operated by the Watchmaking School Furtwangen, the Hamburg Watchmaking School as well as the Pforzheim School of Goldsmithing and Watchmaking Designed. Here, visitors gain insights into training paths, teaching content and craft techniques – from clockwork assembly to fine finishing.

Workshops at the FHH Cultural Space – Watchmaking art to participate in

The craftsmanship offerings are complemented by watchmaking workshops in the „FHH Cultural Space“In Hall A1. In guided sessions, visitors experience the fundamental steps of watchmaking – from disassembling to assembling a watch movement. The courses provide an in-depth understanding of mechanics, precision, and craftsmanship, making watchmaking accessible even to non-specialists.”.
