TAG Heuer CEO Antoine Pin leaves luxury goods group LVMH after 23 years.
The rumor that the watch manager of the luxury goods group LVMH would leave before the start of the LVMH Watch Week Rumors that he would resign from his position as TAG Heuer CEO yesterday have been circulating since the beginning of the year. The French company has now confirmed this in a brief statement.
Antoine Pin resigned from his position as CEO of the watch brand TAG Heuer last Friday. The reasons for his departure are unknown. A successor has not yet been named, suggesting that this move was made relatively suddenly.
An official company statement simply said that Pin wanted to "begin a new chapter in his career" after 23 years with the company.
The timing of the resignation, just days before LVMH's most important watch event, LVMH Watch Week, has prompted further speculation in the trade press. Most sources assume internal tensions and strategic differences within the watch division regarding the future positioning of TAG Heuer.
It wasn't until April 1, 2025 that Jean-Christophe Babin In addition to his role as CEO of the LVMH brand Bulgari, he has also taken on the CEO position of the company's newly structured Watch Division. He is responsible for the strategic direction of LVMH's watch brands, including TAG Heuer.
It is unknown whether there were any disagreements between the two "veterans" of the luxury goods group – Jean-Christophe Babin and Antone Pin. What is clear, however, is that neither of them are small fry at LVMH, and that both careers are closely linked to the TAG Heuer brand, which has belonged to the group since 1999.
Babin began his LVMH career in 2000 as CEO of TAG Heuer. He led the brand for 12 years and played a key role in its global development. In 2013, Babin was appointed CEO of Bulgari. Under his leadership, Bulgari expanded significantly in the jewelry, watchmaking, and luxury hotel sectors.

Pin began his career at TAG Heuer in 1994 as a Junior Sales Manager for the Duty-Free (DFS) sector and the Middle East, later rising to Product Manager. In 2002, he became International Marketing Director for the LVMH brand Zenith, where he contributed to the brand's relaunch strategy.
He then held various management positions at LVMH Watches & Jewelry UK and was General Manager for TAG Heuer in Japan and Korea. In 2014, he took over the management of the Greater China and Australia regions at Bulgari, where he significantly increased sales and profitability. Subsequently, he became Executive Vice President of Berluti and, from 2019, Managing Director of the Watch Business Unit of Bulgari Horlogerie.
In July 2024, Antoine Pin was appointed CEO of TAG Heuer, following Julien Tornare's departure to sister brand Hublot. Under Pin's leadership, TAG Heuer returned to Formula 1 as the official timekeeper, among other roles, through a global partnership.
The Management reshuffle in LVMH's watch division This has been ongoing for some time now, both with regard to the brands themselves and the top position of the entire Watch Division. This was taken over in 2024 by Frédéric Arnault (second youngest son of Bernard Arnault, patriarch of the family group), who had previously served as CEO of TAG Heuer. A good year later Frédéric Arnault left the watch division. and moved to the LVMH fashion brand Loro Piana as CEO on June 10, 2025.
