Inhorgenta presents „The Atelier“ with innovative perspectives for the jewelry craft
From February 20th to 23rd, 2026, the Inhorgenta "The Atelier: The Journey of Jewelry Making from Tradition to Innovation" is a newly curated highlight format.
The Inhorgenta exhibition shows how craftsmanship refined over generations and state-of-the-art technologies inspire each other – and how jewelry design is being reimagined in an increasingly digital world.

The exhibition is located in Hall B2.352 and will be officially opened as part of the trade fair on Friday, February 20th at 12:15 pm.
Inhorgenta 2026: Traditional Jewelry Craftsmanship and AI
The Atelier is an immersive spatial installation that combines traditional jewelry craftsmanship, futuristic scenography, and AI-based visuals. In a reflective spatial concept of mirrored walls, monolithic display cases, and digital screens, history and the future meet.

Ten selected pieces of jewelry are accompanied by AI-generated visual worlds that reinterpret the gestures, tools and techniques of their creation – not in a documentary way, but as a visionary transformation.
„With The Atelier, we want to show that craftsmanship is more important than ever in the age of artificial intelligence,“ says Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director of the Inhorgenta.

„Tradition and innovation are inextricably linked – they inspire each other and shape the future of jewelry design.“

„The Atelier“ at Inhorgenta: Jewelry craftsmanship from antiquity to artificial intelligence
The exhibition „The Atelier“ spans from early techniques – such as the stone cutting of Mesopotamian antiquity or historical goldsmithing methods – to today’s digital tools and AI-supported design processes.

At the same time, the installation puts the people at the center, whose knowledge, passion, and precision make this development possible in the first place. It shows how craftsmanship and technology mutually reinforce each other to rethink and further develop tradition.
