Dr Gunnar Binder has been CEO of the Christ Group, which has been part of the Italian Morellato Group since February 2023, for just over a year. This also applies to NXT LVL Brands GmbH. Founded in autumn 2022, the sister company of the jewellery chain is active in the wholesale of watches and jewellery and is an INHORGENTA exhibitor.

INSIGHT: What marks do you give the jewellery and watch year 2024?
Dr Gunnar Binder: A 2.0 for the jewellery year and a 3 to 4 for the watch year. After strong gains in the years following coronavirus, the entire watch market is facing challenging times, particularly due to changing consumer priorities and increased demand for affordable luxury.
INSIGHT: What relevance does INHORGENTA have for the European jewellery and watch industry?
GB: The cancellation of Baselworld has made INHORGENTA much more important. This year in particular, this is also evident in the new brands and many international visitors. Those who were there last year are back again.
"This makes INHORGENTA even more important from year to year. It also acts as a central platform for dialogue on market trends, technological innovations and sustainable developments in the industry."

INSIGHT: What is your personal highlight at this year's Inhorgenta?
GB: NXT LVL is my personal highlight. After the initial beginnings in the last two years, this year we can welcome numerous retailers to our stand, especially thanks to the cooperation with the Morellato Group.
It is particularly worth emphasising that we present innovative concepts in the field of sustainable materials and modern designs.
INSIGHT: What trends can you name for the jewellery and watch year 2025?
GB: A key trend is the growing interest in sustainable materials such as recycled gold and silver as well as lab-grown diamonds. Modular jewellery and customisable designs will also play an increasingly important role.
